This easy recipe requires only few ingredients which makes the cooking even more easier.
Ingredients:
Thoor dhal – 1/2 cup
Tomatoes- 3
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp.
Salt – 1 tsp.
To splutter:
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp.
Cloves – 2
Cinnamon – 1”
Green chilies – 2
Procedure: Pressure cook thoor dhal along with turmeric powder to make it soft. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, cloves, and cinnamon. When the cumin seeds change color and the cloves increase in size add green chilies and tomatoes. Fry them until tomatoes turn pulpy. Now add the cooked dhal, red chili powder and salt to taste. Allow it to boil. Then remove from heat and serve hot with pulkas, naan, or chapathi.
