This is an easy and every time snack that we like to munch all the time. I'm sending this to Kurinji Kathambam from where I learned that puffed rice had so much of nutritious value.
Ingredients:
Puffed rice – 5 cups
Roasted channa dhal – 1 cup
Garlic – 1 pod
Grounded salt – 1/4 tsp.
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp.
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp.
Red chilies – 2
Oil – 3 tbsp.
Procedure:
Heat oil in a kadai and add oil. When the oil is hot add mustard seeds and when it splatters add red chilies. Then add the garlic pods, roasted channa dhal, turmeric powder and salt. When roasted channa dhal changes golden color add the puffed rice and give it a quick mix and remove from the stove. After it cools store it in an air tight container.
